After squandering two plate appearances with the bases chucked, the Tigers scored four in the second inning including three on Prince Fielder’s bases-clearing double.
Jose Valverde gave up a hit and walked one before striking out the final two batters. It wasn’t easy, but I hate to rank on anyone in uniform. We do need him if he’s out there.
