3-1 final.

I watched it update on my phone while I wandered around the downtown Grand Rapids Art Festival, today.

Very fun times in GR.

Since I was a kid, the Festival has been a tradition. There are activities for kids, music on different streets, 26 food booths, and art, of course! It’s the largest volunteer event in the entire world!!

There are always lots of people, so if people watching is fun for you, too, this is the place. Mostly a normal crowd with plenty of crazy hairdoos and tattoos, too, plus the classic religious nuts with signs.

Tomorrow is the last day, open until 7 pm. I took notes from the time I entered the event, here they are:

“Ben Wallace w/ the near block” TRANSLATION: If you haven’t been to a big city, you have to keep moving, or you will be eaten alive. The beggars were in full force today, and although I do have much empathy for anyone on the streets, you get hit up every five feet when an event like this is on. One particularly aggressive suitor dressed in a Pistons shirt-jersey #3 nearly got me, but I was moving too fast!

“Food: Clutch $2 Corndog

Totally hustled by asians on $3 stir fry. Went from plate-size to ‘small bowl’ while I was in line. Just a tiny bowl of noodles. Other options could have been:

$3 burger

$3 s & sour or sesame chicken”

NO TRANSLATION NEEDED LOL

“9:40p Rosa Parks Circle Band MrWhooHa”

= a very good cover band to end the night http://www.mrwhooha.com/fr_home.cfm

This song was sang particularly well by the female lead singer:

When I pulled the car in for the night, this was playing, so with it, I leave you…
