Yesterday, extra innings wore on as the M’s-Tigers stayed knotted at one.

Today, in similar fashion, the two teams remained scoreless through six.

In the bottom of the 7th, Justin Verlander exceeded that classic 100-pitch count. Still, Tigers’ manager Jim Leyland left his ace in. Mistake.

After watching Verlander give up a single to a snarf, I could tell he done. The pitch hung up in the air for that extra split second too long. He was well over 100. When it goes, it goes, and it was obviously gone.

Was Leyland awake? He kept JV in. Next at-bat: double to the left field wall. 1-0 M’s.

I am now yelling at the TV (ask oldschool), “PULL HIM.” Nope.

SMACK. Another base hit puts the game out of reach, 2-0. For the type of grind-it-out manufacture a run game it was, it was now over.

ALL BECA– USE OF LEYLAND. YOU DON’T DO THIS. YOU RARELY LEAVE A PITCHER IN PAST 100, AND IF I COULD TELL IT WAS TIME HOW THE FUCK COULDN’T YOU?

AND WHO WAS WARMING UP TO COME IN FOR JV – VILLARREAL.

NOOOOOOO.

C’mon, Dave D, make the skipper wake up. These few rotten apples in the bullpen are spoiling an otherwise awesome Tiger team. Why would anyone ever pay to see Villarreal? You shouldn’t have let him pitch yesterday. What, his two walks weren’t enough?

We can get relief pitchers. We can’t get this season back. STOP FUCKING IT UP.
