Detroit ended the 3-game series with a 7-5 finish over the Orioles.

We led 6-0 behind some clutch batting from the bottom of the lineup. Our backup catcher “Doc” Holliday, Don Kelly, and Danny Worth all came up big against Baltimore. Miguel Cabrera got in the mix as well.

Justin Verlander was smooth sailing up 6-0, then tried a retaliation plunk on Nelson Cruz for the action’s against Torii Hunter two games ago. Unfortunately, the bean attempt when wide, sailing past Cruz’s body.

The next inning, the Orioles got a little angry and scored five runs. Nonetheless, Rajai Davis smacked a solo shot out the park that would be the game’s final run. Joba Chamberlain escaped with the bases loaded in the 8th, and Joe Nathan notched another save.
