This game was so tiring, it took me two days to write this recap.

I will try and remember…

1-0 Tigers, RBI from Jose Iglesias

2-1 Indians, two runs off Doug Fister in the 3rd

2-2, Austin Jackson home run

3-2 Indians, Al-Al gives up two quick doubles

4-3 Tigers, Miguel Cabrera home run with Torii Hunter on base

4-4 Indians in 8th: With the runners on second and third, no outs, Bruce Rondon relieved Drew Smyly (who also allowed two doubles), then struck out the first batter. The second snarf grounded out to tie the game before Rondon got the third out.

9th 4-4 Rondon pitches scoreless frame

10th 4-4 Jose Veras 1-2-3 inning

11th

12th

13th YOU KNOW

Jeremy Bonderman pitched the 11th, 12th, and 13th innings, striking out the first snarf he faced and surrendering only one single, whom he then got out on a double play.

In the 14th, Austin Jackson led off with a double, and Andy Dirks moved him to third. Hernan Perez took a walk to put runners on the corners with Prince Fielder up to bat.

I was practically praying for a sacrifice fly, but Fielder rocked a double to the left-center field wall, scoring both runs.

The extra run saved the game from prolonging into oblivion: Cleveland scored one run in the bottom of the 14th for a 6-5 Tigers win. Joaquin Benoit got the save with the tying run 90 feet from home, striking out the final snarf.
