No one likes to lose to the White Sox. Especially not us.

The Tigers began to avenge a series defeat by beating the Texas Rangers handily.

Everyone in the lineup batted in the first inning, providing five runs.

1 – Austin Jackson doubles

2 – Torii Hunter doubles, Jackson scores

3 – Miguel Cabrera walks

4 – Prince Fielder singles, bases loaded

5 – Victor Martinez walks, Hunter scores

6 – Jhonny Peralta doubles, Cabrera and Fielder score, Martinez to third

7 – Andy Dirks strikes out

8 – Alex Avila singles, Martinez scores, Peralta to third

9 – Ramon Santiago hits into double play

THEN, in the second inning the Tigers tacked on two more for the 7-0 start.

Doug Fister gave up two in the fourth and loaded the bases with two outs, but struck out the final Ranger. He finished with six innings and five strikeouts.

Bruce Rondon bounced back nicely, getting four outs without harm. He threw 10 pitches, all for strikes.

Benny got the final out after an error put a runner on third.
