First of all, we lost Andre Drummond at halftime. Apparently, he was hit in the head by a Jazz player early on, then struggled through the half. After conducting tests, he was ruled out the rest of the game.

Then, despite the loss, we came back in the 4th quarter to make it a contest. Detroit trailed 64-55 at the start of the final frame, then tied it at 64.

With under two minutes left, the Pistons were only down one three different times. Then, it happened again.

In case you forgot, we broke my heart and every sane basketball fan’s in our state when we passed on Wolverine Star Trey Burke in the draft. He actually fell to us after winning the College Player of the Year and leading Michigan to the National Championship Game. But…

So, down one, 86-85 with 30 seconds left, in comes Burke. He’d sat most the quarter, having not entered the game since the eight minute mark. It was purely for a poor free throw shooter.

And he drained the final bucket of the game with 13 seconds left. And promptly exited.

What can I say? We deserve everything Burke does to us, while at the same time this is a tragic losing streak. As a fan, all I can offer is my support.

“Drummond averaged 17.3 points and 21.7 rebounds in the first three games of the road trip, and currently leads the NBA in offensive rebounds. He’s second to DeAndre Jordan in total rebounds and sixth in the league in blocked shots,” (FOX Sports).

We hope he’s ok. Him and Greg Monroe are carrying us. Reggie Jackson dished out zero assists with five turnovers, and Stan Van Gundy benched him almost the whole fourth. He is the problem.
