Jim Schwartz came out a little too aggressive, and the end result was poor for Buffalo.

Our old coach, the current Bills defensive coordinator, seemed to unnecessarily blitz and pick up flags (sound familiar?), but the Lions responded on the field.

Back-up Kellen Moore threw a strike in the waning moments of the first half for a 17-0 lead. After that, it was all Nate Freese. Our rookie kicker drained two 53-yarders throughout the game, and three total.

Detroit’s defense picked off the Bills three times. Twice, I saw one of our flagged players respond with a great effort on the next play. These are all encouraging signs from our new coach, who seems to have finally brought the secondary together.

Let’s get it, Lions.
