We gotta win two, G’s. One at a time. Max Scherzer goes first.
Stafford’s No Easy Sack
After six games, the Lions rank second in the NFL in percentage of sacks per dropback, according to ESPN Stats & Information. Quarterback Matthew Stafford has taken nine sacks in 252 dropbacks for a percentage of 3.6, lower than all NFL teams except the Denver Broncos (2.0 percent via five sacks in 249 dropbacks). The […]
Fuck Irsay
“ Without Peyton, there would be no Lucas Oil Stadium. This team would be playing in L.A. right now. I don’t understand Jim saying this. ” — Tony Dungy, on Colts owner Jim Irsay’s criticism of Peyton Manning via Tony Dungy on Jim Irsay’s comments about Peyton Manning — ‘Jim is making this personal’ – ESPN.
Detroit Tigers Even Series
Our best friend Doug pitched six strong innings, setting the table by only allowing one run. In the second inning, the Detroit bats exploded for five runs. Austin Jackson started the damage with a bases loaded walk. Torii Hunter helped drive in two more, and Miguel Cabrera singled home Hunter. The Tigers scored two more […]
Time to Pick Up the Tigers
The best thing I’ve seen the Tigers do all year was by Torii Hunter: It took me some time to understand this moment, but my dad understood it right away. Our manager was breaking down, and Hunter came in and picked him up. Leyland thanked Hunter and was allowed to enjoy himself, showing us his […]

Red Wings Improve to 5-2
The Wings won 2-1 over the Blue Jackets at home. Jonas Gustavsson started in goal for the injured Jimmy Howard, sporting a Detroit Tigers hat in his post game interview. Way to support each other, G’s!

Verlander Pitches Another Classic, Tigers Fall 1-0
We couldn’t push one across, leaving three Tigers at third base. Justin pitched his balls off, going eight innings and only allowing a solo home run. Doug Fister pitches tomorrow night back in Detroit. Let’s back him up.
Tigers Take Tragic Game 2 Loss
We had it. It’s hard to spoil Miggy’s over-the-monster home run, the back-to-back doubles by Prince Fielder and Victor Martinez, and the Alex Avila two-run homer. Max Scherzer went seven innings and left with a 5-1 lead. We lost 6-5. Back to Detroit for Justin Verlander.
Lions Take Down Browns
Up 7-0, the Browns looked pretty easy. Then they got a few big plays and scored 17 unanswered, leading 17-7 at halftime. The Lions defense held for the entire second half, starting with a quick three and out on Cleveland to begin the 3rd quarter. The Lions marched down and scored thanks to Reggie Bush, […]
Sanchez Throws No Hitter for Six – Tigers Win 1-0
The lone hit by the Red Sox did not come until the bottom of the ninth. One out. Single. Sanchez struck out 12 and walked six. With the bases loaded from walks in the 6th, he struck out the Sox emphatically to end the inning. In the first inning, Sanchez struck out four Red Sox […]
Anibal Sanchez Game 1 Starter
Max Scherzer, Justin Verlander, Doug Fister round out the rotation. Game 1 in Boston tonight at 8:00 PM ET. Look for Sanchez to be extra fired up after the day game in Detroit. Sanchez led the entire American League in ERA, after all. GO TIGERS!
Detroit Tigers!
Detroit rattled A’s starter Sonny Gray, forcing him to throw many more pitches this time around. Gray had only started in 11 Major League games and was sweating bullets as the game wore on. Miguel “Big Cat” Cabrera knocked his first home run of the postseason into left field with Torii Hunter on base. Victor […]
