The Wings won 2-1 over the Blue Jackets at home. Jonas Gustavsson started in goal for the injured Jimmy Howard, sporting a Detroit Tigers hat in his post game interview. Way to support each other, G’s!

We couldn’t push one across, leaving three Tigers at third base. Justin pitched his balls off, going eight innings and only allowing a solo home run. Doug Fister pitches tomorrow night back in Detroit. Let’s back him up.

We had it. It’s hard to spoil Miggy’s over-the-monster home run, the back-to-back doubles by Prince Fielder and Victor Martinez, and the Alex Avila two-run homer. Max Scherzer went seven innings and left with a 5-1 lead. We lost 6-5. Back to Detroit for Justin Verlander.
