In the second inning, Hunter again sent one deep, this time over the center fielder’s head to the wall, scoring Omar Infante from 1st base and putting Austin Jackson on 3rd with a ground rule double. Next, Miguel Cabrera launched one out, just inside the left field foul pole. 5-1.
Austin Jackson hit a solo home run for a 6-1 final score.
Starter Doug Fister was the anti-Dice, as he wastes 0 time between pitches. Fister went 6 and 1/3, throwing 112 pitches, scattering 8 hits, and walking two with four K’s.
Drew Smyly relived Fister, getting two clutch outs with runners on 1st and 2nd.
