Preseason Week 3
The Lions forced a fumble on New England’s opening drive, then tossed Reggie Bush a screen pass on third and ten for 60+ yards, setting the tone for the evening.
Daruis Slay (2nd Round Pick)
We forced four first half NE turnover’s including an interception for Chris Houston of Tom Brady for a 16-3 halftime lead. David Akers had missed a 30-yarder, too. Jason Jones sacked Brady twice.
Cornerback Dwight “Bill” Bentley looked solid after missing most of the 2012 season. Bentley was a 3rd round pick in ’12.
Joique Bell, running back, and Kellen Moore, quarterback, came in for the second half and scored two touchdowns, putting us ahead 33-3 with another field goal. Trailing 40-3, the Patriots finally scored for the 40-9 final.
