Miguel Cabrera broke the ice with his 27th home run and 87th + 88th RBI’s of the young season. 2-0 Detroit.

Next pitch: 3-0 Detroit. Prince Fielder hit his 15th homer and the rally continued. Jhonny Peralta singled in Victor Martinez to end the top of the 3rd with a 4-0 lead.

The Tigers scored three runs in the fourth starting with Ramon Santiago’s sacrifice bunt, which ended with Santiago at second and scored a run after a bad throw to third base. Austin Jackson hit a perfect sacrifice fly for the 6th run, and Torii Hunter’s double drove Santiago home.

Hunter was a single shy of the cycle. He clubbed one out with Austin Jackson on base to up the lead to 9-1 in the 6th.

We kept Anibal Sanchez to 73 pitches through five innings of play. He only surrendered three hits, one earned run, and a walk while striking out four. He looked good, and it was good to have him back.

Doug Fister has the hill tomorrow.
