The most amazing thing ever?
Here they are on SNL:
Of Monsters and Men breezed through “Little Talks” when the Icelandic folk-pop band made their Saturday Night Live debut last night, in an episode Zach Galifianakis hosted. Singers Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir and Ragnar Þórhallsson blended their voices into honeyed harmonies while they strummed acoustic guitars on the lilting tune, which comes from their 2011 EP Into the Woods. The group also performed “Mountain Sound,” a single the group released last year.
Bjork meets Tim Burton…. on that first video.
What’s in the water in Iceland that it can be home to this group and Bjork? That’s a lot of creativity from such a small country. Some of the make-up reminds me of Bjork’s artist-husband Matthew Barney’s film stuff.
Nice to see this music clip from SNL since On Demand always cuts out the music from SNL.
