Seattle, WA

I think because these teams didn’t play yesterday, they celebrated Jackie Robinson day today. Everyone wore #42.

Austin Jackson started the game off with a triple, and he was batted in by Miguel Cabrera. (Don’t yawn.) 1-0.

However, the M’s made things interesting in the 4th. Doug Fister had been dominating until he gave up back-to-back doubles, then let a single score the runner. 2-1.

I was pissed. I knew my Tigers were, too.

With Torii Hunter on base, Big Cat made ’em pay. He knocked it clear out past center field, 3-2.

In the top of the seventh, Jackson singled and stole second before he was batted home by Cabrera. 4-2. Fister ended the inning with 107 pitches, four hits, one walk, and five K’s.

The wheels came off in the 8th. Jhonny Peralta doubled and Victor Martinez moved to third. Omar Infante was intentionally walked to load the bases. Bad move. Jackson and Hunter were both walked to make it 6-2, the final score.

Al Alburquerque and Joaquin Benoit each struck out two batters while tossing a perfect inning.

Same time tomorrow, Tiger fans.
