“The Kid” Garcia threw out Coco Crisp at the plate; Crisp dropped a pop-up by Miguel Cabrera that gave up two runs with two outs; the Tigers rallied down 1-0 to tie it 1-1, down 2-1 to make it 3-2, down 4-3 to tie it 4-4, and held runners on 1st and 3rd in the top of the ninth to preserve a walk-off in the bottom of the 9th.
Doug Fister was solid, allowing only two runs in seven innings.
Al Alburquerque ended the top of ninth, recording one out total, and snarfed the win.
