Looks Like Spurs Colors to Me

It was actually a really close game. Another great effort in a loss by my Clippers.

We led by five after one quarter, starting the contest on a strong run at home. Our owner was like a little kid enjoying the array of dunks. It was LA by one at halftime.

All the Spurs could do, as usual, was shoot threes. We really didn’t hit ours, but sustained play always kept us in it. Even through more Hack-A-Jordan, which he excelled at. DeAndre drained his first two, then split some, too, before being pulled. Good god it is hard to watch, AND I’M REALLY INTO IT. For an average basketball fan, or anyone new to the game, this a real problem. I know Adam Silver plans on addressing it, but the Spurs coach should be ashamed of himself.

It was tied at 82 heading into the 4th. We came out with a lot of energy. Now, throughout the battle, the refs had been slacking like they’d been all series. The Spurs are living off their reputation while their bodies betray them. Jordan consistently makes amazing blocks they call fouls, whereas Duncan is so flat footed it’s like a shot put when he shoots. They always wear out by the end BECA– USE THEY’RE OLD. Tony Parker has nothing, but even when he’d elbow Chis Paul in the throat, foul on Paul.

There must have been ten calls including multiple goaltending violations that fucked the Clippers. Paul received a technical “for throwing the ball too hard” to the ref for a quick inbound late in the game with the clock expiring. YOU THINK HE WOULD EVEN CONSIDER TAKING A TECH THERE TO HURT HIS TEAM?

We’re down seven at the end and we keep battling. Keep cutting it to five, even on a miracle San Antonio shot as the shot clock expired. Paul cut it to four. Then two. With forty seconds left, we made it a one point game. And got the stop.

After a timeout with eight seconds left (down one), we made a quick inbound to Blake Griffin, who promptly attacked the hole. His shot hit the rim, bounced up, hit the rim, THEN JORDAN PUT IT BACK FOR THE WIN – BUT WAIT. They reviewed a goaltend, which really looked suspect. I swear the ball was already on it’s way out, even though they had a replay.

We’re giving these games everything we have, and I just want the NBA to do the same. These refs are old as hell, while the Clippers are athletic, young, and fast. Keep up!
