So, it’s not the Palestine-Israel conflict, but seeing my Tigers on opening day created a log-jam at centerfield with the Pistons on TNT at the same time. (NO, that analogy DOES NOT need to make sense!)
For real though, oldschool & I were on another Justin Verlander ride and our poor pushing for the playoffs Pistons were kind of an after thought, being blown out in Miami.
Today, not only do those two teams play again (albeit Tigers @ 4 and Pistons @ 7 – and the Clippers run it back), but the Red Wings have their most meaningful game of the season vs. Philadelphia, also fighting for their playoff lives.
SO, lessons learned: while watching Detroit in general is OK, not seeing my Pistons in game 78 out of 82 is not as forgivable as these early season baseball contests – background TV.
.I could kick myself….. hard to pay attention to anything else when JV is on the hill, he can throw a no hitter at any time so you have to be ready, but I lost sight of the Pistons and their 8 year climb with all the goings on.
