The new GM has elected to keep Jim Caldwell. So, like the Detroit Tigers, they must BE INSANE. Because they are repeating the same action over and over again, yet expecting different results.

Gheesh. Detroit deserves better. Here are some good quotes from The Detroit Free Press:

Was it the generally poor game management? Was it his failure to recognize that the easiest way for Green Bay to beat the Lions on a final, desperate play Dec. 3 was a Hail Mary, but he instead defended against multiple laterals? Was it Caldwell’s stubbornness in sticking with offensive play calling so ineffective that opposing teams sometimes knew the play before the snap?

Coach still struggled down the stretch, being bailed out by Matthew Stafford consistently. Numbers lie – the naked eye saw many drives stall with Caldwell not knowing what to do.

This is settling. We are settling for pretty good instead of great, which these Lions are.

Fuckin’ hell.
