After not seeing our Red Wings all season, Detroit was in for a treat on Saturday night. Before you could see the puck drop, we took a 1-0 advantage. Then, another goal. Finally, Tomas Tatar netted a 3-0 lead in the first period!

Our opponent was the dreaded Predators. They can be seen taking Nikolas Lindstrom’s head and shoving it into the boards back in the 2011 playoffs. We don’t like them.

Despite surrendering a goal before the first ended, Detroit came back with more fury in the second. We scored on a power play to make it 4-1. Again, Tatar scored his 20th on the season for a 5-1 lead going into the final period.

Behind Petr Mrazek’s handy goaltending, we hung on to win 5-2 for our home fans. Suck it, Nashville.
