The Wolverines rallied from a second half deficit to defeat the #2 seed in their bracket by four points with an emphatic block to end the game.

Derrick Walton Jr. made a clutch bucket in the waning minutes up two, and young D.J. Wilson continued his solid free throw shooting with four out of four big ones to prevent the Cardinals from coming within one possession.

In my opinion, John Beilein completely out-coached Rick Pitino, who was melting down from the get go every time a call didn’t go his way. Remember Trey Burke’s block that was called a foul in the final minutes of the National Championship, Rick? Now THAT was a missed call, and it couldn’t feel better to vindicate that bull shit loss here today.

Congratulations to Michigan, who has continued to stay together (neglected to shoot a 3-pointer for most of the second half, bullying Louisville down low) since a tumultuous Big Ten season and a plane crash in 60 MPH winds to begin the Big Ten Tournament, where they went on to win four games in four days.

One game at a time, boys. See you next weekend.
