Welcome, Gs

TheSportingSnarf is a website dedicated to the enjoyable, humorous, and nuanced aspects of the sporting and (to a lesser extent) pop-culture world.  We attempt to touch upon (in varying degrees of print/video length) engaging topics which are not discussed nearly enough. We’d love for you to give us your perspective, network, and participate regularly. But if you’d just like to join in on the mob-mentality and get all sanctimonious on a particular sports figure — head on over to ESPN.com. (Mickey Mouse welcomes you.) Or you can keep it real with us.

Merry Christmas, World!

What a year it’s been. I encourage all to share this fine spirited holiday with their families and loved ones, reflecting on all there is to be grateful for. We honored Peyton Manning and his final ride to Super Bowl 50 glory; LeBron James & the Chicago Cubs, both down 3-1, ended horrific droughts to […]

FREAK OUT!!!!!!

I don’t know exactly how (Supreme Court?) to stop it, but I know the United States is being bent over by Vladimir Putin and Russia. I find it disgusting, revolting, and completely disappointing. WHY IS SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE THE ONLY ONE’S SHARING THE TRUTH??? Democrats have a bad habit of trying to be too perfect […]

Not Going to Cut It, Detroit

I think we can all hear David Bowie saying, “Under Pressure,” right about now. While the Lions eliminated fellow division foe Minnesota from playoff contention with their loss today, the dreaded division rival Green Bay Packers survived a lucky win in Chicago to creep within one game of us. There are two left. And the […]

Hell of a Week

Starting Sunday, Matthew Stafford led the Lions on another come-from-behind victory to ensure the visiting Chicago Bears would not sweep the season series. Poor #9 played with white gloves on his hands after apparently dislocating one of his fingers. He soldiered through two catastrophic interceptions to lead another drive down the field in the 4th […]
