Changes nothing, Detroit. I’ve written articles in the past on “Superhero” baseball where our Gs bail out Brad with late-inning comebacks and home run heroics. Yesterday afternoon was no different. We led 1-0, then gave up three first inning runs. (Joba Jr. is coming along but I thought Daniel Norris was our guy?)

Ian Kinlser delivered the first superhero hit with a solo blast tying it at 3. And we led by one until an error + a homer = 5-4 Baltimore heading into the 8th. That’s when J.D. Martinez delivered a miracle moon shot to left center, emphatically tying it up.

Now, at this point, we’re like 2-10 with RISP and stranded guys at 3rd WITH NO OUTS. If you still want to keep Ausmus, you’re alone. Detroit has spoken on social media and the results will not change until he is replaced. He should be with another young club while he adjusts.

Big Cat followed J.D. and launched a line drive that carried all the way… GONE! Out of the ballpark in the same left field area! Tigers led 6-5 and thanks to Alex Wilson and K-Rod it stayed that way. It’s so true: if we added some small ball with all that power (and don’t jerk around the staff)… we’re golden.
