First, Marcus Morris caught video-game fire. He made four 3s in the opening frame to the tune of 16 points, but we only scored nine as a team besides him, equaling a tie game at 25.

Then, we went ice cold. Maybe Reggie Jackson shouldn’t have been celebrating so soon… we only scored 11 points the whole second quarter, trailing 51-36 at halftime. The abysmal stretch was highlighted with Jackson forcing too many shots. Often, as he goes, we go.

And we came out bangin’ in the 3rd, eventually tying it up behind a raucous Palace crowd. But, tragically, we let up to trail ten going into the 4th. It was really demoralizing after surging back.

Finally, we again cut it to four. But we froze up on offense, not moving the ball the way we crisply did on scoring runs, eventually digging too deep a hole to climb out of. If we don’t hustle hard for 48, bad things can happen…
