“I’m not gonna lie, the Pistons are great!”

That wasn’t said on social media after beating Cleveland early in the year. Nope, not after 4 OT in Chicago. Nope, not by beating the Warriors on Ben Wallace night. NOPE – it was during the goddamn trade deadline to celebrate a pair of deals – in the midst of losing 3 in a row before the break.

The Pistons promptly went out (albeit short-handed) AND GOT DESTROYED, MASSACRED, EMBARRASSED Beyond A Shadow of a Doubt.

They haven’t made the changes that plagued them throughout the second 1/3 of the season. Andre Drummond and Reggie Jackson continue to drift through defense, and our offense has lost it’s flow. Not only are we capable, but we can actually compete (as illustrated in those difficult above wins) with the best, if we choose to.

It begins with Jackson, clearly the catalyst for our team. HE HAS NO IDEA WHO HE IS Yet. He waits until too late to start scoring, and just isn’t getting everyone involved like a point guard should. When Steve Blake enters, his sole objective is to pass. Look up the numbers, the Detroit Pistons struggle to assist made buckets.

A GM/coach is stockpiling talent instead of focusing on basketball. I see 5+ amazing scorers, but they can’t share the ball worth shit! Brandon Jennings and Ersan Ilyasova were extremely unselfish… sometimes those glue guys are invaluable.

I’m just sick and tired of the city of Detroit wallowing in mediocrity. WHERE ARE YOUR BALLS? YOU? Why am I repeating myself like a lone insane snarf? HELP ME.

Or watch my Clippers ball out in the playoffs, you know?
