What the hell – did these Broncos watch the footage of the Lions game and decide to do almost the same thing, not tackle really at all in the first half but then dominate the second?

So strange. A.J. McCarron, the backup for Cincinnati, earned the start and took them down for two consecutive touchdowns to begin the game, making it 14-0. Brock Os, the Denver backup, plodded around and kept taking sacks, something he has to stop doing.

With like five minutes to go, we stopped them for the first time when they missed a field goal. Finally, Brock looked decent, moving us down the field for the field goal, putting us on the board for halftime.

This game determined who will likely earn a first round bye in this year’s playoffs. If Peyton can have one more week to rest, there will still be hope. I see why Osweiler stays getting sacked, now: he’s six foot seven.

Sometimes I suck... Sometimes I don't!

His gumpy ass had better move better, or we’re doomed in the mean time.

With the second half kickoff, the Broncos moved the length of the field for the touchdown, finishing what it looked like they had at the end of the 2nd quarter. Our little receiver Emmanuel #10 Sanders worked his way through several third downs for us, and earned himself the score.

It remained 14-10 for a while. Finally, on an electric run down the sideline for over 35 yards, Denver took their first lead. The defense had been sensational, keeping the Bengals in their own territory for almost the entire half. They allowed one field goal to tie it at 17.

With the ball and under seven minutes to go, Denver put together a good drive and looked like they’d ice the game. Instead, we coughed up the ball on a cold field for the fumble. Thankfully, the defense gave us one more shot.

We were rolling. With just under a minute left, we were in field goal range, but we stopped attempting to advance it. A sketchy run, then a down by the QB moved it where the kicker wanted it with three ticks left. He missed HORRIBLY, wide left without any doubt. Atrocious coaching.

Fortunately, we won the coin toss. A long, slow drive worked it’s way to the red zone, where we ultimately stalled trying too hard for the touchdown instead of moving the first down marker. This time, the kicker came through.

I had a feeling we could depend on our D. It took them two plays to end the game, both fumbles. The first was not ruled so even upon review, where we drilled their backup’s arm and sent the ball flying. It looked like he hadn’t begun any forward motion. So, on second down, a bad hike flew past McCarron and our Pro Bowler DeMarcus Ware dove on it, securing the win.

A wild finish that guarantees the Broncos a playoff spot. Save us, snarfs: you’re our only hope.
