Don’t forget, our ballpark in Grand Rapids almost burned to the ground in an off-season fire one year ago.
We were truly the comeback kids, facing elimination four times in the tournament, all on the road, including this game five in Cedar Rapids.
Bring It Home, Baby
We trailed 2-0 before loading the bases with one out. Our batter slid into first base to beat the double play, scoring our first run. Next, a base hit tied it up. And we took the lead in a 3-2 final on a wild pitch! Our closer struck out the final snarf swinging to end the game: BAMMMMM!
Congratulations, boys! Like they said after the Tigers game, celebrate, this is special, G’s.
