I really can’t stand today’s sports world where every player you grow to love, often from day one at the draft, eventually leaves either because we’re too stupid to pay them or they get greedy. No matter what, it’s always about money.

Tomorrow begins the NBA Free Agency period. DeAndre Jordan, the Clippers center, and Greg Monroe, Detroit’s power forward, are both on the market.

While Los Angeles expects to offer Jordan the maximum amount of money they can, Stan Van does not appear to be as smart. “Stan had smaller teams in Orlando years ago,” Monroe told the Baton Rouge (Louisiana) Advocate on Saturday. “[Andre Drummond] is like Dwight Howard. So Stan wants to put good players around him. The team has different plans and I respect that. I don’t want to be anywhere I’m not wanted,” (espn.com).

I think I might vomit. Here come’s another version of the Golden State Warriors instead of the dream team we already possessed. I loved Monroe, he’s a class act, unselfish, and a throwback big man. Whoever lands him is lucky as hell.
