The Tigers used every at-bat to beat Kansas City, aka the hyenas who love peaking early. We knew, despite a 4-0 early lead, they’d try way to hard in this first game of the series to come back. And they tied it, eventually taking advantage of Dave’s ankle for five total runs and the lead.

Victor Martinez tied it for us at five on an RBI. That set up a bottom of the ninth in Detroit. Anthony Gose strolled to the plate and smacked a double. No outs. Ian Kinsler bunted him successfully to third, but an errant throw to the first base bag let Gose come home and win the game!
