All the leaders of the Red Wings stepped up to make sure they beat the Carolina Hurricanes in our final home game of the season.

We should be fine, but it has gotten tight towards crunch time in the Eastern Conference. This win puts us two points with two road games to go away from guaranteeing ourselves a spot.

Pavel Datsyuk, Henrik Zetterberg, and most importantly, Jimmy Howard, each made significant contributions to the win.

Howard saved 16 shots in the final period, where we let our 3-2 lead play for us instead of checking their attacks. He was the MVP.

Datsyuk scored the third goal on a pass from the legend Zetterberg. Our captain also added a goal.

It’s off to Montreal then Carolina to end the season.
