Michigan Moves On

Gritty performance in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament.

Aubrey Dawkins continues to play strong defense, stepping up his game as this season finishes. Spike and Irvin also contributed double-figures.

The Wolverines stormed out to a big lead in the United Center against Illinois. Coming into this match-up, they’d made it rain, so we were determined to stop the three.

If Michigan can keep playing that defense, we’ll be legit contenders to win this tourney. Let’s beat Wisconsin tomorrow.

Everyone knows the adversity we’ve faced, losing Mitch McGary to a bullshit weed charge (and two more starters to the draft), and then having this teams two best players get hurt.

However, our coach was saying we’re getting a little bit better each game down the stretch here. A possession or two a half, he said. And now, Derrick Walton, Jr., one of those two injured Wolverines, is due back against the Badgers.

It all might be coming together at the perfect time. Illinois was an overtime loss like Wisconsin was (and Michigan State) in conference play. Let’s avenge those mother fuckers!

Final score against the Illini was 73-55. Good luck tomorrow, Blue. There’s no way they’ll be as highly motivated.
