99-95 in Washington, D.C. after playing last night, too.

Despite trailing 21 at one point to their opponent, the Pistons stormed back to actually take a lead in the fourth quarter. Spencer Dinwiddie had the game of his life, scoring 20 and dishing out eight assists off the bench as the heart and soul of the rally. “The Moose” was also loose, scoring 21 on 8-15 shooting while snagging 10 rebounds.

Stan Van made an interesting point after the game. He said when we’re losing, like at 5-23 early in the season, there’s no thought involved. We just go out and play, like when we were down at halftime against the Bulls or Washington (both times). However, once we start winning, we put pressure on ourselves to play a certain way.

With the lead at halftime in Cleveland, we had a bad second half. Same last night against the Knicks. And tonight, once we came back, we sort of sputtered down the stretch. Detroit hasn’t experience steady success on the court in a while, and I think we’re still getting used to it. That’s one of those good problems.

(And apparently, the Knicks aren’t that bad. They beat the Raptors tonight, too. Without Carmelo, it’s like everyone is free at last. “I can shoot? You sure?” “Passing…?”)
