119-115 Final.

It was 55-52 San Antonio at halftime. Things got ugly (kind of like Pop’s beard and his entire team) when the Spurs elected to spend the whole fourth quarter intentionally fouling our center. It was Hack-A-DeAndre.

He wasn’t happy; neither were the Clippers, Doc Rivers, or the crowd. That type of behavior just doesn’t flow in an NBA game. Even though it stopped the clock, it seemed to consume the whole fourth. Los Angeles maintained a small lead through it all.

Popovich started to run out of time. Jamal Crawford drained a corner three with the lead at one. After San Antonio answered, Chris Paul made a Jordan-like jumper with one second on the shot clock over Tim Duncan. There was just under ten seconds left in the whole game.

The Spurs trailed three with no timeouts, so Doc gave them a taste of their own medicine, intentionally fouling so they couldn’t attempt to tie it. After they fouled us, they would then have to advance the whole court. Emmanuel missed the second free throw on purpose, but Duncan lost the rebound to J.J. Redick.

He was the wrong player to foul, as he had made his last 22 in a row. Make it 24 – and then Manu turned it over to end the game. Karma, Bad Santa!
