Detroit beat the New York Islanders 4-1 in their first game at Joe Louis Arena since the all-star break.
We finally have some good goalie news:
#1) Jonas Gustavsson started in Grand Rapids tonight. He’ll make one more start with our Griffins before hopefully re-joining the Red Wings.
#2) Jimmy Howard faced some shots in practice today. It looks like he’s on track to return as well.
#3) Petr Mrazek stopped 23 shots en route to his 11th win in 16 games (he has saved the day – literally).
Tomas Tatar rocketed the first goal of the game, and the Red Wings never looked back. Gustav Nyquist added another as well.
