It took tremendous will power after leading 97-93 and then starting to come unglued with multiple turnovers that led to that 97 tie. We had to get a defensive stop, then Jodie Meeks in his Pistons debut curled and found KCP in the corner. From there, it still took so many stops, free throws, and another drive by D.J. Augustin to secure the win. We did not want to lose this game.
The Clippers, meanwhile, came up short in D.C. 104-96. They’d won nine in a row dating back three weeks. Respect.
