Detroit’s defense dominated Tampa Bay, sacking their QB six times, picking him off twice, and recovering a fumble en route to their 34-17 win.

With Reggie Bush healthy, the Lions came out with a balanced running attack and kept at it for four quarters. Bush looked good in his return, getting back up when he was hit hard and mixing in the pass game out of the backfield nicely. It also seemed to inspire his counterpart Joique Bell, who finished with two touchdowns.

Matthew Stafford was gunslinging on his home field. He finished with over 300 yards, three touchdowns, and nary an incompletion.  That was aided by “Megatron,” who went over 100 yards receiving thanks to several tough catches over the middle. For all the skills and talent Calvin Johnson possesses, he isn’t afraid to make the hard catches where he knows he’ll take a hit.

All our stars really played like MVPs. On one fumble, Stafford managed to scoop up the ball and sidearm her out of bounds, preventing any turnover or loss. Bell saved the day on our final score – Stafford’s pass was deflected at the line of scrimmage and hung up in the air (the game’s balance up for grabs) until Bell snatched it from the sky and took it into the end zone.

NDamukong Suh also played huge, leading the way for that defense. I would not want to be their QB today. “Suh.”
