Oldschool and I picked up the game two-nothing Red Wings. We survived some close shots to finish the period with that lead.

The Canucks caught me napping, scoring quickly to start the second. Detroit was able to answer before the end of the period, going back up 3-1 on a power play.

Vancouver came out very aggressive for the third period, but the Red Wings sustained them for about half the twenty minutes. Then, one snuck past Jimmy Howard to put the pressure back on us. We answered on a line drive laser past two defenders and the goalie courtesy of Danny DeKeyser.

That goal would be pivotal, for the snarfs decided to pull their goalie quite early. We bunched up too much in front of Howard, and they ultimately made it 4-3. After a timeout, the Wings finished them off when Pavel Datsyuk softly pushed one the length of the ice into their empty net.

Howard saved 30 shots and was definitely our MVP, stopping an onslaught at the end of the game.
