Exhibit A) Michigan emphatically scooped up a Maryland punt AND TOOK IT TO THE HO– USE – only to have it called back on a weak penalty. We would not score on the drive.
B) Maryland makes a field goal, only to have their kicker flop to the ground on innocent contact. The kicker was then seen dancing off the field. You cannot make this shit up. College sports! They hadn’t scored a touchdown all game, only to march one in with their new 1st and goal. That tied the game in the 4th quarter.
C) On our final drive, Devin Gardner passed to his best receiver on 4th and 3, and Devin Funchess was groped before the ball arrived. No call. That would be the final time Michigan touched the ball in a seven point loss.
It was such a good game. Michigan busted out a fake punt on the opening drive, and it was a back-and-forth first half. We sacked their QB hard and stole the momentum at the end of the second quarter with some hard runs and a field goal. Gardner drove his team down on the first drive of the second half for the game’s only touchdown. The others were handed to Maryland on a silver platter. The robbing of our punt return really shook the Big House – the turtles snarfed their flopping penalty on the ensuing drive.
It just wasn’t fair, not with all the effort the Wolverines put forth.
