Oldschool had to take the reigns for this game – a little too early for snarf. Here’s what I learned in hindsight:

The Lions trailed 17-3 without Calvin Johnson, and Golden Tate stepped up huge. It was a game of high penalties and too much passing. Olds said they baited us into the shootout. Luckily, Joquie “Believe” Bell got the ball and scored our first touchdown.

The Lions trailed by thirteen points in the fourth quarter when Tate was called upon. He ran past four defenders en route to a 70-yard score with just under four minutes to play.

The defense came through big again, intercepting Drew Brees on the ensuing possession. In Saints’ territory already, Matthew Stafford connected with #10 who tiptoed the back of the end zone for the strike. Reggie Bush set up the opportunity by receiving a pass interference flag on fourth down.

Our defense held on the final minute of the game despite Brees’ best efforts. The home crowd helped seal the deal along with oldschool.
