On Saturday, Rick Porcello earned his Major League-leading 12th win of the year. The Tigers won 5-1 in Kansas City. It was a 2-1 game until the 9th inning, when J.D. Martinez unloaded for another 9th inning bomb. Then, Alex Avila blasted a home run with Torii Hunter on base for the final score.

Sunday, Justin Verlander nearly earned us the sweep, unfortunately the Royals score too many runs in the 7th inning.

Rest up, everyone, and enjoy the all-star break!
