There were two sides to this game:
Side A) USA trailed 1-0 for essentially the entire opening half
B) Portugal trailed 2-1 heading into the extended injury time
Side “A” felt like we were on the brink, and “B” really felt like we had it won. If not for a last-second goal to tie it, we would have already clinched the round of 16.
Nonetheless, we pick up another point to keep pace with Germany atop the group standings.
It all comes down to U.S.A. vs Germany. I think this one hype’s itself…
