LeBron James Is a Real Leader

“I live too much in the moment. I can’t worry about what goes on after this series is over with. Win, lose or draw, I live now and worry about the future once it’s upon me.”

“I won’t change my approach,” LeBron James said. “I hold guys accountable. I don’t let things slide. I hold guys accountable and I want guys to be great while they’re out on the floor and do what’s best for the team. If you do that, you put the team before yourself, then I can live with that. So my leadership approach is different from others and I live with it.

“I just want my teammates to be themselves, man. You know, I feel like I need to do more, too. It’s how I am. My teammates are everything. Obviously I wouldn’t be sitting up here with this, the NBA Finals thing behind me, without them. You know, and they’ve been there all year, and I still believe in them. The guys that are struggling, I believe they’re going to have a big game tomorrow. The guys that haven’t been in a rhythm, I feel like tomorrow’s going to be the best rhythm they’ve been in.

“Tomorrow might be the game where I need to be picked up like I was in Game 1 where I caught a cramp. I believe in them, and I ride with them no matter what.”

  • Pistons Forgetting to Play 4 I personally believe Stan “The Man” Van Gundy must find a way to better get across to his Pistons: PLAY FOR FOUR QUARTERS! Especially defense. Again, like in Toronto, we stormed back too late against the Celtics. If I were the coach, I’d notice a theme with the young guys and call more timeouts when [...]
  • Clippers Missing Griffin Truly not the time to undue all that off-time from the quadriceps injury… The Clippers had achieved many wins without their superstar, but now they’re running out of gas. • Clippers Cannot Be Stopped Since my local cable essentially features just the Pistons via FSD, I don’t dedicate as many articles to my favorite team out west, the Los Angeles Clippers. Ever since big man Blake Griffin went down with a quadriceps injury, the rest of the team has stepped up, winning 10 of 11 without him. What I’ve [...]
  • Lack of Consistent Play Costing Pistons This has become a problem. What happened?? After one of the best day’s in Detroit history, we followed it up with a shotty, average show on Martin Luther King Day. Early in the season, we couldn’t really score, but our defense was so good, we were winning. In the last six weeks, our shots began [...]

…….it’s a perfect time to stick a thorn in the side of the thorniest coach ever.
