The Tigers played solid team ball, stealing bases and taking a 3-2 lead into the ninth inning.
Unfortunately, Joba Chamberlain just wasn’t ready to close, allowing the game to slip away. Phil Coke would have received the win, getting us out of 7th and 8th inning jams with a runner on 3rd.
We will either make a bold trade or suffer, Dave D. Let’s go get a trusted top notch guy that a losing team might rather trade than pay, like Papelbon.
………. not Joba’s fault…….. who could take the firing squad like that?… too early in the season to have to bail like that…I would have told Nathan to suit up and go out…for all that cash you can bloody well face at least one guy!
