The players must have finally figured out that they can tune out our coach and do a better job, because they turned up the jets after that timeout.

Detroit scored 25 points the rest of the 3rd quarter to trail only ten, 95-85.

They came out busting in the 4th, setting up this sequence:

7:4899-97Jonas Jerebko makes 27-foot three point jumper (Rodney Stuckey assists)
7:2899-97Rodney Stuckey foul
7:22Jerryd Bayless misses 19-foot jumper99-97
7:2099-97Andre Drummond defensive rebound
7:1199-100Jonas Jerebko makes 27-foot three point jumper (Peyton Siva assists)
7:11Celtics 20 Sec. timeout

I saw that score run across the bottom of the screen as the Red Wings battled Montreal. They lost 5-3, despite storming back themselves down 3-0 to tie it, all on 3rd period goals. Then the refs snarfed them… but I digress.

Jonas hit back-to-back triples to take a Pistons lead and a Celtics timeout. The two teams traded buckets until under a minute left, when Piston free throws pushed us over the top for a 115-111 edge.

The Palace fans deserve something good for everything they’ve been through this season, especially on a Saturday night.
