NOT MCDONALD’S – DENVER.

In Detroit, the Pistons scored a lot of points. The Nuggets came in at .500, plus they don’t play in the East.

So, this was an impressive showing. Trailing 61-57 with under a minute ’til halftime, Brandon Jennings drained a 3. Then another. Finally, he took it to the hole in under three seconds to draw a foul at the buzzer, sinking both free throws. We led 65-61 as a result and never looked back.

The Pistons stormed to a double-digit lead in the third and scored 32 more points to lead 97-86. With under six minutes the lead dropped to six, but it quickly picked back up. Detroit went on a 12-2 run until the Nuggets scored with 1:28 to play. However, Jennings hit another three on the next possession for a 123-106 lead. Next, Denver answered with a three, so Jennings went back down and knocked down one more with 42 seconds left. That made it 126-109 where it stayed.

Jennings finished with 35 on 6-11 triples with 12 assists. Our team was +29 with him on the court. Josh Smith also played great, going for 30 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, and four steals. Rodney Stuckey added 19 off the bench, and Andre Drummond recorded a 18 & 15. All five starters went for double-digits.

Next game (21-29): Spurs on Monday 7:30 PM ET at the Palace of Auburn Hills
