Sound familiar, Pistons fans?

The Clippers played a similar game to Detroit, and I’m proud of both my teams.

We kept it within range all night so that we could make our run.

We lost by four points – 116, 112 – in Los Angeles. Blake Griffin scored 43, steadily posting up and attacking the rim all night. I counted five alley-oops. He also snagged 15 boards and dished out six assists.

It was a dunk show out of the gate. Without J.J. or Chris Paul, we still nearly won.

Los Angeles Clippers
Blake Griffin and crew deserve plenty of credit for holding things together the past month while Chris Paul has been out with a shoulder injury. A monster game from Griffin is what kept them in striking distance after trailing by as many as 19 early. Ultimately, turnovers and the Heat’s depth were too much to overcome. Clearly, the Clippers are as strong as any title contender — if healthy.
