Teary eyed Doc Rivers beat his old team 96-88 in Boston. The Celtics led 45-40 at halftime but gave way to Lob City in time.

Jamal Crawford balled out in Stephen Jackson’s debut. Jackson looked pretty out of shape, launching some ugly-looking 3’s  – but his presence inspired nonetheless. Crawford nailed two timely 3’s himself in the 4th to help build an insurmountable lead. He also blocked two shots and went 7-14 with 21 points.

Chris Paul delivered his daily MVP-caliber performance, hitting emergency buckets when the Celtics were closing in. He finished with 22 on 8-16 shooting with nine assists, seven rebounds, and two steals.

Blake Griffin logged 42 minutes and scored 18 along with seven boards and four dimes.
