Miguel Cabrera.

2-0 Tigers.

First pitch, SMACK! A home run in his next at bat following last night’s walk-off. He was serious when he said, “Let’s take the series tomorrow.”

The Tigers did exactly that, 6-3 behind starter Max Scherzer (18-1), who pitched eight innings and allowed two runs while throwing 110 pitches for five hits, no walks, and four strikeouts.

Cabrera knocked in the game’s 3rd run, too, upping the 2-0 start to 3-0.

Torii Hunter sacrificed a deep fly ball for the 4th run, scoring Jose Iglesias.

After adding two runs in the 6th for a 6-0 start, the Royals got two back in the 7th behind three hits off of 00Scherzer.

The ninth inning wasn’t easy. Billy Butler led off with a home run, cutting our lead to three for Joaquin Benoit. Next, Ramon Santiago saved a base hit by bare handing a ball and barely beating Alex Gordon.

Salvador Perez then reached first. The next batter was also robbed by Santiago on a line drive over his head that he jumped up and snow coned. Finally, “Gross Pointe” Getz grounded out to Santiago for the final out. SANTIAGO!

*From the post game interviews, Cabrera on Scherzer’s 18th win: He’s a “phenomenal OG.”

**Craig Monroe stays sharp with the white suit and peach tie. Can he please teach the white announcers what to wear? Enough red, white, and blue combos or the church suit, snarfs!

It's Good, For Real

It’ll Get Ya!
