Tigers 11

Nationals 1

I woke up late. Some bull.

1-0 Nats wasn’t exactly breakfast in bed. Nonetheless, five runs ensued the next at bat for the Tigers.

First, Ramon Santiago knocked in runners at second and third for a 2-1 lead. Next, Alex Avila hit his second home run in as many games, upping the ante 4-1. Torii Hunter, two batters later, did the same, jacking one out for the 5-1 edge.

Now, it’s time for everyone in the world to apologize to Hunter. Sorry, G, for our third base coach letting you get tagged out

It's All Good

It’s All Good

because you had the triple for your cycle, but Brookens held the runner at third and fucked you. Let’s just be real. It’s all good going forward, but that was fucking bull shit. Sorry.

The 4th inning, the Tigers doubled up, scoring five runs again and batting through the entire lineup again. Singles and clutch walks were all we needed to look unstoppable offensively. Five straight singles chased the Nationals starter, who gave up ten earned.

Irregardless, Justin Verlander is still an ace. Stop being overharsh, critics. He just needs to stop walking snarfs. He had five today and is up to one more per nine innings this season than in his career. That’s really it – he still is so clutch. Check out how many times he removed us from a jam, letting him only surrender one run on the day. He gets the win.
