Rick Porcello silenced the Cleveland Indians today.

Wizard Rick threw 7 innings on 101 pitches, leaving with a 7-0 lead for his Tigers. The starter allowed five hits, two walks, and struck out six.

It was a team effort on the base paths.

Ramon Santiago singled in two runs with the bases loaded in the second for a 2-0 start.

Miguel Cabrera returned to third base and Don Kelly moved over to right field. “Triple Crown” knocked in Andy Dirks in the third inning for a 3-0 Tigers lead. Dirks hit 2-4 with two doubles and notched a walk, scoring three times.

Cleveland starter Masterson looked ugly, walking four and staying in the game a little too long. After Victor Martinez singled to right center in the fifth, Masterson was over 100 pitches and another run scored. The next batter Jhonny Peralta hit a pitch even further to right center, scoring both runners. At 6-0 they pulled him, damage done.

Martinez finished 3-3 and walked with two RBIs and that run. He knocked in Dirks for a  7-0 final score.

Anibal Sanchez is pitching tomorrow in Cleveland tomorrow at 4:05 PM.

Game 3 Sunday is at 1:05 PM ET.

Game 4 is Monday at 7:05 PM.
