I read a very astute article this week reminding me that “statistics” are overrated. This is sooooooo fucking true. We’ve lost loving intangibles as a real quality.

1. Writers obsessing over a new “era” of the pass. Shut up.

2. We saw the Detroit Lions finishing 4-0 beating Green Bay (last team to do so) last season. I said they here. They went 4-0 preseason. They here. Season 2011: 4-0. MNF.

3. Nothing else matters, it’s all good because it’s all NFL. The lockout lost.

4. The Buffalo Bills are the AFC Lions, not really, but they are an underdog previously and have a great RB, Fred Jackson.

5. Touching Raider win for Al Davis over a tough Texans opponent.

6. Eagles really aren’t as bad as people say. Oh well, be like the Heat: make the Super Bowl.

7. Wes Welker has a pace for 2k receiving yards. Jerry Rice at 1.8K is the current G.
